1. Make Room for the Moment

• Choose a stable, heat-safe surface and keep the candle away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire. 
• If your table needs support, place the candle on its lid to give it a secure base. 
• Make sure nearby materials, such as fabric, paper, or wood, are at a comfortable distance. When the surroundings feel clear and ready, the candle has room to be lit and enjoyed.

2. Preparing the Wick 

• Give the wick a small trim before each burn so it sits at a neat one-quarter inch. This height keeps the flame steady and supports a more even burn. 
• Clear away any loose pieces around the wick so it begins on an even base. 
• A simple adjustment like this helps the candle light cleanly and settle into the moment you are creating.

3. Embracing the Light 

• Use a match to light the wick and let the flame begin at its own pace. This is the start of the moment ahead.
